Police Chief in O'Fallon, MO put on leave

O'Fallon, MO – The police chief of O'Fallon Missouri's says he's not sure why he's been put on administrative leave.

Mayor Donna Morrow has only confirmed that Chief Steven Talbott was suspended with pay during a closed city council meeting last week.

But Talbott says he's never been notified of any charges; only that he was told not to report to work Monday.

Talbott's been with O'Fallon Police for 29 years, including 10 in the top job.
