Nine hurt in Springfield, MO hotel shooting


Springfield, MO – Police in Springfield, Mo. are looking for the man who shot nine people at a birthday party early Sunday.

It happened in a banquet room inside the Hotel Seven along I-44. None of the victims was seriously wounded.

Police say the man walked into the private party and opened fire, but they add they don't know the motive for the shooting.

The gunfire sent partygoers scrambling to get out of the banquet room. Investigators are looking for a person of interest based on descriptions provided by witnesses.
