Lockout ends; Mallinckrodt workers ratify contract

St. Louis, MO – More than 400 union Mallinckrodt workers in St. Louis are returned to work Friday after a six-week labor dispute.

The members of the United Autoworkers Local 1887 ratified a four-year contract on Tuesday. The contract calls for a three percent pay raise and better pension benefits.

Workers at the plant makes bulk ingredients for generic pharmaceuticals along with specialty chemicals for a variety of purposes.
