Rash of shootings not related, police say

St. Louis, MO – St. Louis police say five shootings this weekend do not appear to be related. No one died, but seven people were hurt in the incidents.

Two of the shootings took place outside different clubs. Another shooting followed an attempted robbery. And a 21-year-old man who was shot while driving his car fired back at the gunman.

Meanwhile, police in Maryland Heights say they've arrested a man who they say stabbed his brother to death this weekend. Police say the two brothers got into an argument at home, and one stabbed the other.

The victim was Brien Layton, 44, of Maryland Heights. His brother's name has not been released.
