St. Louis, MO – A former state representative is among two people that Governor Matt Blunt named to the St. Louis City Election Board this morning (Thursday)
Democrat Eileen McCann was a House member in the 81st District. She's also the sole practioner at General Practice of Law, and holds a law degree from Saint Louis University.
The other nominee is Republican Jack Lary, an equipment salesman and Korean War veteran. He works for Cardinal Business Equipment Sales.
The commissioners set policy for how elections are run in the City. Both nominations need Senate confirmation; their terms would last until January, 2009
