Getting African-Americans in St. Louis to trust doctors

St. Louis, MO – On Monday, researchers reported that nearly half of surveyed African-Americans have low levels of trust' of health care providers.

In St. Louis, a group of African-American business leaders are trying to do something about it. And the message they are spreading is for everyone, they say, because the next public health crisis could isolate communities.

KWMU's science reporter Robert Frederick explains that would mean St. Louis would have to rely on St. Louis.
