Chicago, IL. – Illinois State Senator James Meeks says he is NOT going to make a third-party run for governor.
Meeks says that decision is based on an education plan that's slated to be unveiled by Governor Rod Blagojevich's administration on Tuesday.
News of a possible Meeks' run surfaced after he criticized Blagojevich for renewing a no-tax pledge in seeking a second term.
Meeks today declined to release any information about the new education proposal referring questions to the governor's office.
The senator says he reserves the right to enter the race if Governor Blagojevich does not come through with the education plan as promised.
