St. Louis, MO – There's a new addition at the St. Louis Zoo; a giraffe was born there five days ago. He already weighs 138 pounds and stands five-and-a-half feet tall, according to zoo officials.

This is the fifth calf born to Jessie and Dexter at the zoo; a number of zoos are working together in a breeding program to ensure the survival of the threatened species.

Visitors can see the new arrival at the Antelope House or giraffe yard in the Red Rocks part of the zoo.
