Normandy police officer found shot to death in Crystal City

St. Louis, MO – A Normandy police officer was found shot to death this morning inside a home in Crystal City.

Amanda Cates was 26.

Crystal City police were called to a home around 12:30 this (Tue.) morning and found Cates dead.

A 37-year-old man was arrested. Police say he lives at the house, but the nature of their relationship has not been disclosed.

The entrance to Normandy City Hall has black bunting draped across the front, and flags are flying at half-staff today.
