Parents sue Troy School District because of daughter's injury


Moscow Mills, MO – The parents of a girl who suffered a fractured skull when a steel beam fell through the ceiling of her classroom is suing the Troy School District and two construction companies.

Amie Twellman was injured in December in the accident at Cappel Elementary School in Lincoln County. She needed emergency surgery to put two plates in her head.

Amie's parents say she's now having trouble in school and becomes angry easily since the accident.

In addition to the district and four administrators, the suit names Demien Construction of Wentzville and Big Boy's Steel Erection of Hazelwood. It seeks unspecified damages.
