Fairview Heights bans adult businesses

Fairview Heights, Ill. – Aldermen in the Metro-East town of Fairview Heights voted Tuesday night to ban all adult businesses.

The law passed 8-1 even after the city's attorney said it would be unconstitutional. The city currently has one adult store which aldermen tried to fight; the city did get some restrictions on the business.

The one no' vote was from alderwoman Carol Warner, who says she voted against it because of her belief that it's unconstitutional.

But Aldermen Norman Miller says stores that have pornography shouldn't be allowed at all.
