St. Louis – St. Louis police are continuing to search for the mother of a baby found alive last week in a trash bin.
Police say they have identified the woman in a picture released to the public last week and determined she is not connected to the case.
That woman did have twins recently as she had stated, but both are accounted for and safe.
Now, authorities say they're seeking new leads.
The baby was discovered May 5th by a man disposing of yard waste in the Skinker-DeBaliviere neighborhood.
The newborn left St. Louis Children's Hospital last week and was placed in state custody.
