Tamaroa, Ill. – Most of Tamaroa's residents have been allowed to go home. About 800 people who were evacuated got the word last night.

A train derailed in the southern Illinois town Sunday, spilling hazardous chemicals. There are still about 20 people who live closest to the crash site who are still evacuees.

Thursday, crews removed a tanker that had been carrying flammable vinyl chloride. Officials also set up air, soil, and water monitors to make sure residents are not in any danger.
