St. Louis, MO – After earlier insisting that he was guilty, Thomas Erbland, Jr. Tuesday entered a plea of innocent in the killing of his wife, KMOX radio personality Nan Wyatt.

Erbland is charged with first-degree murder in the February 18 shooting death of Wyatt at the couple's suburban St. Louis home.

At an arraignment in February, Erbland tried to plead guilty, but a St. Louis County judge twice cut him off in mid-sentence and automatically entered a plea of innocence on his behalf. He was
later granted a public defender.

Erbland remains jailed without bond.

Erbland originally admitted shooting Wyatt several times. Police say the couple had been having marital difficulties.
