UM Curators Approve Tuition Hike

By AP/KWMU

Rolla, Mo. – The University of Missouri's Board of Curators Tuesday approved a 3.2% tuition increase.

The hike will raise more than $11 million to help pay the rising costs of employee benefits, utilities, and inflation. But the four-campus system still faces a $6 million budget shortfall for the fiscal year that starts July First.

The university system includes campuses in Columbia, Rolla, Kansas City, and St. Louis.
