Former ESL Official Pleads Guilty To Theft
St. Louis, MO – The U.S. Attorney's office says Margaret Ann Allen pleaded guilty last week to theft in federal court. Authorities say the 56-year-old Allen took more than $23,000 dollars from two police department accounts. They say she used the money to gamble and buy things like
alcohol and lottery tickets. Allen faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. She is scheduled to be sentenced on September 3.
