St. Louis, MO – A last attempt by former TWA flight attendants to delay layoffs failed in a New York court Monday, meaning Tuesday (July 1) is the last day on the job for more than 3,100 American Airlines employees.

That number includes every flight attendant who worked for TWA before American bought the company. American says the furloughs will not affect operations at Lambert Airport.
