Father Biondi dedicates Busch Student Center.

By H. Wicai, KWMU

St. Louis, Mo. – St. Louis University unveiled its newly renovated student center Thursday.

It took $22-million to expand and improve the 36-year-old Busch Center. St. Louis University President Father Lawrence Biondi says since the center is located in the heart of Midtown, its renovation not only benefits the university's students, it benefits the entire area.

The renovation is simply an opportunity to draw the community to Midtown where SLU has traditionally been the anchor for the area. Being adjacent to Grand Center we constantly want to have relationships and concerts and meetings that would invite the public to the Busch Student Center.

The facility offers restaurants, shops, services for students and 27,000 square feet of meeting space.
