Interview with Bert Walker

Ambassador Bert Walker

By Tom Weber, KWMU

St. Louis, MO –

St. Louisan Bert Walker has a new title: Ambassador. Secretary of State Colin Powell swore in Walker Tuesday as the United States' new Ambassador to Hungary. He has already left for central Europe.

Walker has been part of a number of civic organizations and efforts, and politics is never far behind. His cousin is former President George Bush, Sr.

KWMU's Tom Weber spoke with Walker before he left St. Louis for his new job about what a country like Hungary has to offer.
