Springfield, Ill. – 
The yet-to-be-opened Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum now has a director. Governor Rod Blagojevich Wednesday officially named longtime historian and author Richard Norton Smith to the post.
Smith once turned down the job, but now says it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Illinois Public Radio's Bill Wheelhouse prepared this report.
