Bishop Naumann Is Elected Administrator Of Archdiocese

St. Louis, MO – A board of priest advisors in St. Louis has elected the auxiliary bishop of St. Louis as administrator of the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

The Most Reverend Joseph Naumann will oversee the day-to-day operations of the archdiocese until a successor to Cardinal-designate Justin Rigali is installed. Rigali, former archbishop of St. Louis, left the area Monday. He was installed as archbishop of Philadelphia on Tuesday.
