Grocery Chains Extend Hours on Day 11 of Strike

St. Louis, MO – The grocery strike in the St. Louis area is into its 11th day, the three chains workers are striking plan to be open a little longer, starting Friday.

Schnuck's, Diergberg's and Shop & Save stores will be open from 7:00 a.m. until at least 9:00 p.m.

The union, Food and Commercial Workers Local 655, says it anticipates intimidation tactics when employees go to the stores today to collect paychecks.
