St. Louis – A Roman Catholic priest from Wisconsin has pleaded not guilty to an indictment charging him with possessing child pornography.
An indictment last week says Father David Malsch received the material from June 1st to October 15th.
The priest was sent to the Wounded Brothers retreat in Franklin County, Missouri after he completed a prison term in Wisconsin.
The charge against Malsch led authorities to wonder how closely the priest was being watched. Officials at Wounded Brothers are not commenting on how they monitor priests accused of sex crimes.
In federal court Monday, Malch's attorney said retreat had told the priest he had to move out.
