St. Louis, MO – The Pope Tuesday morning assigned a priest in the St. Louis Archdiocese to a new job in western Missouri.

Monsignor Robert Finn will become the coadjutor bishop of the Kansas City-St. Joseph Missouri diocese in May.

That means he'll become bishop there when current Bishop Raymond Boland retires.

Finn was born in St. Louis and has served at a number of area parishes in a number of towns, including O'Fallon, Villa Ridge, and St. Peters.

He's currently at Holy Redeemer Parish in Webster Groves.

Current Kansas City-St. Joseph Bishop Raymond Boland is 72. Bishops traditionally retire at age 75.
