Man Dies After Struggle With Police

By AP/KWMU

St. Louis, MO – St. Louis County police say a man died after they struggled with him. Police say the man in Glascow Village in north St. Louis County had just shot his stepdaughter and attacked neighbors.

They say they needed to subdue him by shooting him with a Taser.

St. Louis County police say the 9-year-old stepdaughter and two neighbors suffered serious injuries. Four police officers were also treated.

Police were called around 7:00 Wednesday night, after witnesses said the man shot his stepdaughter in the chest.

Department spokesman Mason Keller says the man went to another home on the street and physically assaulted a 14-year-old girl and her mother. There was no known motive.

After he was sedated, he died on the way to the hospital
