AP: Cards' Owners Among Top Bush Fund-Raisers

By AP/KWMU

St. Louis, MO – A report from the Associated Press finds a number of top executives within the Cardinals organization are among President Bush's top fund-raisers.

More than a dozen current and former baseball owners and family members are among the President's top fund-raisers.

They include Cardinals chairman and owner Bill DeWitt, the wife Cardinals minority owner Steve Brauer, Kimmy, and former team owner August Busch III.

Those three are so-called Bush "Rangers," which means they've helped raise at least $200,000.

Cardinals co-owner Robert Castellini is a so-called "Pioneer," meaning he's helped raise more than $100,000.

President Bush was a part owner of the Texas Rangers before he ran for governor and President.
