Missouri Dems Pull Anti-Blunt Ad

By AP/KWMU

Jefferson City, Mo. – The Missouri Democratic Party has pulled back its first attack-ad against Republican gubernatorial candidate Matt Blunt.

It countered one the state Republican Party began running on Friday.

The announcer tossed the hypocrite label back at Blunt, after the GOP spot questioned candidate Claire McCaskill's sincerity.

Democratic spokesman Jack Cardetti says the party began airing its commercial on Monday to respond as quickly as possible to the Republican spot.

Cardetti says the Democrats' spot has been changed to make it more effective.

It's returning to TV, in a form questioning whether voters can believe Blunt.
