st. louis, MO – Final preparations for Friday's second presidential debate continue at Washington University. Security concerns are a top priority.

Several main streets around the university will be closed, including Forsyth and Big Bend. Starting Thursday, access to the campus will be limited to only those with proper identification.

"Our police chief has a joint command center with the Secret Service, with St. Louis County police and other local law enforcement," said Steve Givens, who chairs the university's debate steering committee. "There's going to be a very secure perimeter that no one will get in unless they have a reason to be there."

Washington University has also designated a specific area for protestors on the intramurals field just south of Forsyth Boulevard.

The debate begins at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
