Jefferson City, MO – The budget that's currently funding Missouri state government assumed the state would take in more money during this fiscal year's first quarter.
But the state's assistant budget director says it's not enough of a decline to be worrisome.
Net general revenue collections from July through last month totaled about $1.7 billion.
That's a 2.5% increase over the first three months of last fiscal year, but budget officials have said the state needs to grow at a bit over 3% to meet the current budget.
