On Tuesday, St. Louis city residents will vote on a proposed city charter amendment that would reduce the number of aldermen from 28 to 15.
The alderman is often a citizen's first point of contact in solving the daily problems of neighborhood life.
But advocates for change say the aldermen are not adequately addressing more serious priorities.
