FBI Raids East St. Louis City Hall
East St. Louis, Ill. – FBI agents seized computers and 12 boxes of papers Tuesday at the East St. Louis City Hall.
The raid came less than a week after several local Democratic leaders were called before a federal grand jury. The subpoenas ordered those leaders to bring all records relating to money spent on this month's election.
Acting City Manager Robert Storman says he doesn't know what the agents wanted on Tuesday.
Agents appeared to focus on the Department of Regulatory Affairs office and the city manager's office. Agents took 12 boxes of documents and at least eight computers from regulatory affairs. They took at least four computers from the city manager's office.
