Webster U. Awaits Word on Students in Thailand

By Maria Hickey, KWMU

St. Louis, MO – Webster University officials say they won't know how the recent tsunami in Asia affected students at its campus in Thailand until after Winter Break.

More than 5,000 people in Thailand died in the disaster. Webster's campus there, though, was not damaged.

The university is also canceling a speaker series in St. Louis this spring and donating the money for it to relief efforts.
