For a year and a half, the Commission on Terrorist Attacks upon the United States went over and over the events leading up to September 11th, 2001.
The panel released its 600-page report last summer. It details the planning of the attacks and their immediate aftermath, and suggests ways to prevent another such catastrophe.
Former U.S. Senator Bob Kerrey was a member of the 9/11 Commission. He spoke Tuesday at Washington University in St. Louis.
The Nebraska Democrat told KWMU's Matt Sepic the hardest part of the job was constantly reliving the worst attack on American soil.
