St. Louis – Transportation planners are putting together a wish list of road projects in the St. Louis area.
At a meeting Wednesday in Jefferson City, planners decided to recommend funding for projects including Page Avenue in St. Charles County and an interchange at Interstate 44 in Pacific.
St. Louis district engineer Ed Hassinger says one of the biggest projects on the list is the rebuilding of Highway 40.
"We're looking at spending in the neighborhood of about $260 million, and then there's already $40 million that's already approved in the current five-year plan. Of course, we'll probably spend most of that on the Kingshighway and 170 interchanges."
The list of recommendations will go before the Missouri Highways and Transportation Committee in May.
