St. Louis – Trans-Meridian Airlines officials say
they're adding more flights out of Mid-America Airport in the Metro East.
The company expects to schedule daily flights the last two weeks of February.
Trans-Meridian now flies passengers from the airport only to Orlando, Florida, and only three days a week.
The two weeks in February will mark the first time that daily scheduled passenger
service will be offered at Mid-America.
Last month, the airport hit another milestone when officials announced that 10,000 passengers have been served so far this year.
Allegiant Air also flies out of Mid-America and carries passengers to Las Vegas four days a week.
The airport is in Mascoutah, Ill., about 20 miles east of St. Louis.
