Five people stabbed outside Cards - Dodgers game in LA

By AP/KWMU

Los Angeles – Police are looking for a man who allegedly stabbed five people outside Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, in a dispute over counterfeit t-shirts.

It happened Sunday after the Dodgers hosted the St. Louis Cardinals.

Authorities say security guards approached a group of 15 vendors when one of them started "slashing at people" with a knife. He later took off in a black vehicle.

One guard was stabbed in the shoulder, another was stabbed in the stomach. Police say a vendor was also stabbed in the stomach, and another in the back. They say a third seller was stabbed in the hand.

The guards had been hired to crack down on vendors selling unlicensed merchandise.

A Dodgers spokesman said it "unfortunate incident."

The Cardinals won the game 7-5 in 11 innings.
