St. Louis, MO –

Lohr distributing Company drivers, who are members of Teamsters Local 600, walked off the job in late May over a contract dispute.

Lohr is the only company that distributes Anheuser-Busch beer to grocery stores, restaurants and bars in St. Louis City. And the union is urging St. Louisans to give up their local beer.

But despite St. Louis' strong ties to both unions and Anheuser-Busch, the strike has so far not grabbed the public's attention.

KWMU's Maria Hickey prepared this report.
