Thousands lose power; some will be out until Tuesday
St. Louis, MO – Ameren says some people who lost power this weekend won't get it back until Tuesday.
Spokeswoman Sue Bell says the utility has restored power to more than 130,000 customers since Saturday's storms knocked them out. But as of 8:45 Monday morning, this hour... just fewer than 69,000 customers were still out. That includes more than 7,000 in Ballwin and more than 5,000 in Bellefontaine Neighbors.
The severe weather also prompted officials to issue a boil water order for the city of Annapolis in Iron County. The town's water tower sustained damage to its control panel.
