St. Louis, MO – A trial begins today (Monday) in St. Louis for a former Catholic priest who is accused of molesting a boy at the Old Cathedral, near the Arch.
Thomas Graham is accused of repeated molestations in the 1970s and 1980s, starting when the boy was 13. Graham left the active ministry in 2002.
The priest sex abuse victims' group SNAP says Graham also faces a civil suit for sexual abuse in 1991 and 1996.
But Graham's lawyers claim the victim came forward too late. But St. Louis prosecutors retort that until 1979, Missouri had no statute of limitations on sodomy.
Monday's deliberations will include jury selection.
