St. Louis, MO – Voters in St. Louis' 24th ward will choose their new alderman on December 13.
City election officials formally selected that date during a brief meeting on Thursday.
The special election will be held to fill the vacancy created by last week's recall of Alderman Tom Bauer. Bauer was ousted for supporting a plan that called for the acquisition of several neighborhood properties through eminent domain.
On Thursday night, the ward's Democratic committee picked Committeeman Bill Waterhouse to be that party's nominee in the special election.
