St. Louis, MO – A movement is underway to see where Missouri voters stand on stem cell research.

The Missouri Coalition for Lifesaving Cures hopes to get a constitutional amendment on next Novemeber's ballot that would ask voters to protect stem cell research in the state.

But the initiative is not stopping some lawmakers from moving forward with their effort to ban certain types of the research when lawmakers reconvene in two weeks.

KWMUs Maria Hickey reports.
