St. Louis, MO – The mother of a six-year-old girl is upset with St. Louis school officials, after her daughter was accidentally locked in a classroom after school ended on Tuesday.
No one could find McKell Brown when family members went to pick her up, and administrators told family the girl couldn't possibly be in the building.
The girl's mother later called police, who then found the girl sitting and crying in the dark in her locked classroom.
The girl's mother says a district superintendent called this week to apologize for the incident. District spokesman Johnny Little says the girl's school principal and teacher have been suspended pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
