St. Louis, MO – A tuition increase is one of the items on the agenda for University of Missouri curators this week.

The board is meeting today and tomorrow (Thursday & Friday) to discuss, among other things, President Elson Floyd's recommendation that tuition be raised five percent, starting this summer.

Floyd said the hike is smaller than it would have been if the governor hadn't recommended spending more money on higher education next year.

If approved, the increase will mean undergrads from Missouri taking 15 hours of class will pay $324 more each year in tuition.
