Clayton, MO – Two teenagers who climbed up the University Club Tower in Richmond Heights in February pleaded guilty in court last night.
Jack McKinney and Thomas Slattery are seniors at Chaminade High School. They say they climbed the hi-rise as a prank. At the time of the incident, they also said they climbed the building because there are no mountains in the region.
The two now have to pay a $1,000 fine, plus another $1,000 to pay the fire and police departments that responded, as well as perform 100 hours of community service.
McKinney and Slattery pleaded guilty to trespassing, failure to obey an officer and disorderly conduct. Both were also placed on probation for a year.
