No one hurt in small plane crash in Chesterfield

By AP/KWMU

Chesterfield, Mo. – No one was hurt Tuesday when a small plane crash landed at Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield. High winds are being blamed for the nose gear collapsing upon landing.

The pilot had reported just before that the wind was affecting his plane. There were low-level wind sheer advisories in effect at the time.

The plane is owned by Chesterfield-based Surdex Corporation.
