St. Louis, MO. – The publisher of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch announced today that he will resign.
Terrance Egger joined the newspaper in 1996 as general manager and became publisher in 1999.
He remained in that position even after the paper was sold to Lee Enterprises last year. A spokeswoman for the company said a search for a new publisher would begin immediately.
Egger said in press release that he was ready for a new chapter in his life.
His last day at the newspaper will be May 19.
