St. Louis, MO. – Workers hired by a St. Louis beer distributor to replace striking drivers will vote next month on whether to de-certify the union at the workplace.

The National Labor Relations Board Thursday approved the request by Lohr Distributing's replacement workers for an election. It will take place June 19th.

More than 30 Teamster drivers at Lohr Distributing went out on strike a year ago. Lohr hired permanent replacements in October.

NLRB assistant regional director Don Gardiner says if striking workers vote in the de-certification election the board will have to investigate whether they've been permanently replaced.

If so, their votes would not count.
