Kansas City, MO – There are five Republicans and two Democrats running for Missouri state Auditor. They're running to replace Claire McCaskill, who did not seek re-election so she instead could run for U.S. Senate
On the Democrats' side, it's almost a contest of opposites.
Both candidates have decades of accounting experience and want to keep the office in Democrats' hands. But while one is also a lawyer who loaned herself a half million dollars for the campaign, the other appears to almost completely free of both political ambition, and campaign funds.
