MO-DOT: 60 more bridges need fixing

By AP/KWMU

St. Louis, MO – MO-DOT said Tuesday that further inspections found 60 bridges across the state that need attention.

Those inspections were ordered after a chunk of the Delor Street overpass fell onto I-55 last week and injured one woman.

The agency says it will award a contract to fix those 60 bridges on Friday, with work starting next week.

Of the 60 bridges, MO-DOT says 45 need retrofitting in the St. Louis area, along with 12 in Kansas City and three in St. Joseph.
