Two Metro-East hospitals to merge

By AP/KWMU

East St. Louis, Ill. – Two hospitals in the Metro-East will merge into one hospital with two campuses.

Kenneth Hall Hospital in East St. Louis and Touchette Hospital in Centreville are about five miles apart and owned by the same foundation.

The merger will let one staff cover radiology, accounting, and pharmacies, instead of two. But it's not known how many jobs will be cut.
